StrongBC Future Skills Grant available to apprentices and tradespersons

Looking to upgrade your skills? If you're an apprentice or tradesperson, the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant could help. Eligible BC residents aged 19+ can receive up to $3,500 toward short-term skills training in a wide range of programs designed to equip learners with job-related skills that boost productivity and support career transitions and advancement.

To align with B.C.’s evolving economic needs, this year’s future skills grant continues to focus on training programs that reflect government priorities and address labour demands in key sectors, including health care, clean energy, construction, mining, marine transportation and inclusive economy. Learners can begin training as early as September 2025.
