How to Join

 

Membership to the BCICA is open to commercial and industrial insulation firms as well as manufacturers and suppliers of insulation materials and equipment. There are three types of BCICA membership:

  1. Active Member: An Active Member is a corporation that is actively engaged as a mechanical insulation contractor in British Columbia. Active Members have the option of being a QAC Active Member. A QAC Active Member must maintain a continuous surety bond with BCICA that ensures a quick dispute resolution process. They are qualified to bid on QAC specified jobs and provide a QAC to the owner upon completion of the work.

  2. Affiliate Member: An Affiliate Member is a mechanical insulation contractor that has joined to increase their level of professionalism. After a two-year probation, an Affiliate Member is encouraged to complete the additional criteria to be recognized as a QAC Active Member.

  3. Associate Members: Associate Members are manufacturers and/or suppliers of mechanical insulation materials used by mechanical insulation contractors.
