Become an Insulator

What does a mechanical insulator do?

At first glance, a mechanical insulator is someone who applies insulation to equipment, pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems to help control and maintain temperature. In the construction industry for commercial and institutional buildings, mechanical insulators do a lot more.

We work for construction companies at job sites and for manufacturers and distributors of insulation and related materials. In both environments, we are assessing, designing, constructing, and analyzing. We are experts in thermal insulation and properties; materials; application and finishes; mechanical insulation specifications; firestopping; and inspection and maintenance.

We care about energy efficiency and the environment. We can prepare a comprehensive analysis of energy savings for a specific application, whether it is simply analyzing the cost impact of insulating one steam line or something as complex as performing an energy appraisal of a facility. We assist in analyzing the financial impact of an insulation application, and we provide opportunities for greenhouse gas emission reductions.
