BCICA Welcomes Wrap Logic
Wrap Logic was founded in August 2025 with a small but experienced team. The team, which scales as needed depending on project size and schedule, completes thermal and acoustic insulation for piping, ductwork, and equipment, firestop and specialty applications, along with electric heat tracing design and installation in commercial construction. It operates from the Lower Mainland to Whistler and Chilliwack.
Wrap Logic president, Oren Gobin, has been in the industry for 21 years. He entered his career “accidentally” after interviewing for a different position.
“I went to an interview for a company that was looking for insulators,” he says. “I was applying for firestopping, which the company did separately from insulation. At the end of the interview, they shook my hand to hire me and said I now had a job as an insulator. Here I am, 21 years later.”
After two decades, Gobin still enjoys the work, fuelled by the personal and professional mantra: thrive on honesty, integrity, and hard work. He also stresses the importance of mechanical insulation as a major contributor to energy efficiency. “It has a very positive influence on the world we live in,” he says.
Over 25 years in the mechanical insulation industry, Luke Olson, principal, field operations, has developed a deep appreciation for the mix of hands-on field work and problem solving that mechanical insulation work requires. “No two buildings are the same, and insulation often sits at the intersection of design intent, real-world constraints, and multiple trades,” he says. “Getting those details right is both challenging and rewarding.”
The company is well-positioned to meet these and other challenges of a complex and changing industry. “Our focus within the mechanical insulation industry is on doing technically correct work, early coordination with trade partners, and providing practical solutions when drawings or site conditions are less than ideal,” Olson says. “We put a lot of emphasis on constructability, sequencing, and long-term performance rather than just meeting minimum requirements.”
Wrap Logic joined the BCICA because BCICA is an important organization that helps keep the industry closer knit and helps keep standards at a higher level. “It helps promote the insulation world within the construction industry to keep them informed about how important the trade is,” Gobin says. “The BCICA gets the information out about why we do what we do.”
Gobin would like to see this kind of ongoing support continue. “The mechanical insulation industry is constantly changing, and the BCICA is always out there at the tip of it providing support as things change,” he says.
Olson believes strongly in raising the bar for the trade and supporting a professional, well-represented industry. As a BCICA member, he hopes to contribute to conversations around best practices, training, and coordination, while also learning from others who have deep experience in the field.
“I’d love to see continued emphasis on education, mentorship, and practical guidance for both new and established contractors,” he says. “Anything that helps standardize expectations, improve communication with consultants and other trades, and highlight the value of mechanical insulation as a system rather than an afterthought is a win for the industry.”
As Wrap Logic grows, its leadership plans to remain focused on providing the best experience possible for the team and customers. “Our goal is to provide a premium install,” Gobin says. “Our plan to be top installers and keep our clients as happy as possible.”
“Professionally, our guiding principle is to do things properly the first time, even when it takes more effort up front,” Olson says. “Personally, I believe in being accountable, staying curious, and treating people fairly. Those values tend to carry over naturally from work into life.”
