BCICA Welcomes New Member Delta E

Introducing Delta E Mechanical Insulation, a Vancouver based mechanical insulation company committed to conservation and dedicated to revolutionizing it. 

“We specialize in pipe and equipment insulation for commercial, residential, and institutional projects. We also provide firestopping and heat tracing services,” says Miguel Popoca, principal with Delta E. “In the complex world of thermal energy, advanced mechanical insulation is not just an option—it’s imperative for directing crucial energy flows effectively.” 

Delta E’s team of seven skilled workers, including field and office staff, serves the Lower Mainland with products crafted from top-quality materials and installed with unmatched precision, ensuring they enhance the aesthetics of facilities, while optimizing energy savings and investment returns.

Popoca has been in the industry for more than 17 years, beginning in the trade in October 2008 and earning his Red Seal in 2018. “What I enjoy most is the balance between technical challenges and craftsmanship—making sure the insulation performs as intended while also achieving a neat, clean, and professional finish,” he says.

Delta E joined the BCICA because Popoca believes the opportunity to learn from others who have been in the industry longer than he has is invaluable. “As insulators, we face many of the same challenges, and sharing knowledge benefits everyone,” he says. “As a member, I hope to contribute my experience, particularly in the commercial insulation sector, while continuing to learn and grow within the industry.”

He looks forward to ongoing training and educational seminars from the BCICA, both of which are essential for the growth of companies and individuals within the industry. “I would also like to see the BCICA help establish unified standards for new installation methods and, of course, continue communicating those changes to the mechanical consultants.”
