Thank You for Attending Derby Day
The Rob Nofield Memorial Derby Day was held on September 13 at Hasting Park. The highly anticipated annual event drew 78 attendees, many of whom took up the invitation to dress in Derby Day fashion.
Congratulations to the Best Dressed prize winners. We had so many people dress up, that the prizes were split up to celebrate so many looking their Derby Day Best.

1 Best Dressed Child
1 Best Dressed Family
New for 2025, the Family-Friendly zone was a great success with kids and families enjoying their own space. The BCICA also had an extra grandstand this year to spread out the event, which was a great move, since the event saw record attendance, including several first-time member attendees.
The Derby Day event has become one of the premier social events of the year. Although rumours are afloat that Hastings Park may close in the future, the plan is to continue the event for as long as possible.
The BCICA has heard nothing but great responses from members who attended. We would like to thank everyone who came to cheer on the racers, and we commend them on their Best Dressed enthusiasm as well as their respectful and supportive behaviour toward the children and families who attended.
