About this Event
The BCICA Derby Day is the biggest race day of the year at Hastings Park, and one of the most highly anticipated social events on the BCICA calendar. New for 2025, this BCICA members-only event will feature a Family-Friendly zone, so bring the kids for activities and an exciting day at the track.
Our most creative attendees will be awarded fabulous prizes for Best Derby Day outfit, and complimentary food and drinks will be provided thanks to our major sponsors:

Can anyone attend this event?
You must be associated with a BCICA member company to attend Derby Day.
Can I bring my family?
Yes! Spouse tickets are available for purchase and children 16 and under enter for free. Children over 16 must have a paid ticket. All children need to be pre-registered.
Will there be alcohol at this event?
The BCICA will provide beer and coolers at the event, but keep it cool–-the BCICA reserves the right to refuse service to anyone whose horse is running wild, so to speak.
Will pictures be taken at the event?
Photos will be taken! By attending Derby Day, you are accepting and authorizing the BCICA’s use of photos taken at the event to promote the event on digital, print, and social platforms now and in the future.
Is food served at the event?
Yes, typical pub-style food will be served.
What private booths at Hastings Park will we be in?
The BCICA has reserved the VIP Lounge and Grandstand Patio 2B for general membership and Grandstand Patio 2A for families.
Can I help at the event?
If you would like to volunteer, please contact the BCICA.
How much are the tickets?
Tickets are $75.00 for members, member guests, and children 17 and up. Children 16 and under are free, but must be pre-registered.
Will there be prizes?
Prizes will be awarded for the Best Derby Day outfit in male and female categories. Have some fun and dress up!

I am excited for Derby Day! Where can I get my tickets?
The BCICA is now accepting payment directly through the BCICA office. To purchase tickets and pre-register children for Derby Day, email the office at bbudden@bcica.org and indicate how many tickets you require. The BCICA will follow up by phone to collect payment.
